Pet Guardians is was set up in 2010 to provide a valuable service providing a friendly and cost effective way to ensure that your pets are looked after in the familiar surroundings of their own home.

Pet Guardians is not a franchise - the business has been built up from nothing to an impressive client list of over 40 happy customers and their pets.

In the 11 years that I had my last cat, Mo, I didn't go on holiday once because I refused to put him in a cattery and didn't want to burden friends and family with a rather difficult (and spoiled!) cat who was fed several times a day, was often sick and would foam dramatically from the mouth at any whiff of a strange scent - like something out of Hound of the Baskervilles!

There were no professional services like Pet Guardians around to take care of him in my absence so, after he passed away, I decided to set up my own.

Owned and run by Helen Williams, Pet Guardians provide a range of services for pets and their owners from dog walking to pet feeding.

I have owned (been owned!) and looked after various types of pets in my life; including dogs, cats, hamsters, coldwater and tropical fish and rabbits so I am experienced in the care of a wide range of pets. I am currently owned by 2 cats -Ozzie & Ziggy.

Since Pet Guardians began; chickens, ducks, terrapins, guinea pigs, rats, budgies, parakeets, tortoises and Bearded Dragons have been added to the ever-growing list of pets I've looked after!

I have looked after/walked a 3 legged dog; 3 deaf dogs, a partially sighted dog, a deaf cat, cats & dogs on medications (including a diabetic cat), a disabled dog, a cat with a psychological condition and several elderly cats & dogs. So not much fazes me.

I am based in Christchurch and at present cover the following areas: Christchurch and Southbourne. If you are outside of these areas, still contact us, I may have availability to go further afield.
